How to learn to enter a trance: effective techniques and exercises for beginners

For any magic, it is important to be able to enter a trance or alpha state (there are many names, but the essence is the same: relax, get ready to work). Otherwise, all further steps will be useless. Know that any magical activity begins with this step. This is the first key for beginners. The most important.

The goal is this: turn off the chaos in your head, relax your body and calm your emotions. The main thing is not to rush. Don't start visualizing or doing rituals right away. Until you have mastered the preparatory exercises, do not proceed to the next steps.

Alpha waves of the human brain

The brain generates electrical oscillations of different frequencies and does so constantly and continuously. There are seven main rhythms of the process, different in amplitude, and corresponding to certain modes of human activity. When the oscillation frequency is in the range of 8-13 Hz with an amplitude of 5-100 μV, the trance or alpha state occurs. At this moment, the creative potential of the individual increases, which causes the emergence of additional energy and opportunities.

Alpha waves appear when the body is relaxed but not asleep. Every person enters a trance state at least twice a day: when waking up and before going to bed. Usually consciousness controls the thought process, actions, and filters incoming information. In half-sleep, this mechanism is turned off and the individual gets the opportunity to look at the world around him impartially, find a shortcut to success or see the future.

This state is natural for the body, but in order to learn how to enter it at will, you need to try. A person who has been practicing trance for a long time can enter it in five minutes, but a beginner may not be able to force the brain to produce alpha waves for the first time.

There are quite a few ways to enter a trance, so at the first stage of preparation it is important to choose the most convenient one. Let's look at the simplest and most effective techniques to achieve half-sleep. It is worth considering that self-hypnosis is part of any of these methods.

Manifestation of transgender characteristics

As already mentioned, a person becomes transsexual from an early age. From the age of 3, a child may show the following signs:

  • he openly declares that he does not belong to his gender;
  • shows a fierce desire to be a representative of the opposite gender;
  • tends to wear clothes that do not correspond to his gender characteristics. Girls flatly refuse to wear skirts and dresses, prefer to wear pants, shirts, T-shirts, and boys can try on their mother’s outfits;
  • children develop a negative attitude towards their genitals;
  • a desire arises, falling asleep in one body, to wake up in another.

The main symptom is a discrepancy between social roles. Boys choose girly games for themselves - dolls, cooking, daughter-mother, hairdresser, while taking on the female role. If children play at a hairdresser, then the boy does not take on the role of a client - a man who comes for a haircut, but he himself undertakes to model hairstyles. He cooks food, swaddles dolls, becomes a mother.

Girls mainly choose boy games and company. Interested in cars and weapons. They take part in aggressive games or those that require a display of strength and courage. But this situation should not be confused with the one that arises when a girl, by nature, is active, athletic and somewhat daredevil, plays “war games”, climbs trees. In this case, she is clearly aware of who she is and does not show pathological ideas about changing gender.

Teenagers and adults also express their transsexualism by dissatisfaction with their gender. This is a characteristic feature for any age. They want to get rid of their genitals, which irritate and terrify them. This intolerance especially flares up during puberty. Girls tighten their breasts and do not try to show off their figure. Boys do not tolerate stubble on the face and hair on other parts of the body, and do not show a desire to play sports so as not to build muscle mass, as they strive to maintain the grace of their figure.

Such people have a great desire to become a representative of the other sex, to acquire his genitals. Men wear women's clothes, grow their hair, and apply makeup. They are caring. They choose professions from the service sector or the arts.

Women usually have short hair and wear men's clothing. They engage in strenuous sports and strive to join the army. They prefer activities that require the manifestation of strength, endurance, and competition.

There are several types of condition:

  1. Unstable transsexualism is a mild intolerance of one’s own gender. The image changes, but this does not cause emotional outbursts.
  2. Nuclear transsexualism is a violent hatred of one's own gender. When you fail to match your opposite, discomfort, irritation appears, and your mood decreases. There is a desire to change gender surgically.
  3. Transgender dysphoria – negative emotional reactions associated with inconsistency with one’s gender identity. They lead to depression and suicide.

Soothing music

To enter half-sleep on your own “from scratch,” you first create the right atmosphere. The room should be quiet, and complete solitude is also important. If the session takes place during the day, it is advisable to cover the windows. If at night, turn off the overhead lights, leaving dim side lighting.

To calm down, you need a monotonous musical composition with a shaman's tambourine or tom-tom. In ancient times, people chose these sounds, probably on a whim, noticing that they had a special effect on perception. If you wish, you can learn to play these musical instruments, but it is more convenient to use their sound in a recording.

For some tribes, entering this state was supplemented by rhythmic dancing; this approach helps many to quickly enter a trance at home. Other people need silence, relaxing music, or a horizontal body position and absolute darkness. Therefore, first you need to find out which option is best suited, relaxes and mentally distances you from everything vital.

Characteristics of the trance state

  • Special logic when there are no restrictions and the impossible is perceived as possible
  • Absorption by oneself and one's inner experiences. The greater the degree of self-absorption, the deeper the trance
  • Altered perception of time (it seems to a person that 20 minutes have passed, although 2 hours have passed)
  • Altered perception of space - when the client is present in two places at the same time. He hears the specialist’s voice and understands that he is in a session. At the same time, he is absorbed in his own experiences - living through situations that he now remembers
  • Living and participating in the history that is remembered
  • A special perception of information - a person can look at himself from the outside, look through the eyes of other participants, look at the situation from above. All this helps to understand why the situation was planned, why it happened to him and what ways out of the situation there are.
  • Partial amnesia - a person forgets almost everything he said during the session. This is why an audio recording of the session is made.

Yoga elements

The following pose will help facilitate the transition to the alpha state.
The person lies down horizontally and places his legs above body level, at approximately 40–50°. To do this, it is convenient to use a volumetric roller, for example, made from a blanket; or lie on the floor and put your feet on a chair. This pose allows you to concentrate energy in the Ajna chakra area. The longer an individual remains in this position, the deeper he sinks into a special altered state. True, concentrating energy in a certain chakra certainly requires skill. If you want to know how to go into trance on your own, it is useful to learn the basics of yoga, especially breathing practices.

For a person who first decides to reach the alpha state, it will take some effort and time to relax. Being in the position indicated above, after a while you can feel the relaxation of all muscles, including facial ones. At this moment, you need to slowly count to yourself from 20 to 1. It is important not to get lost, take your time and distance yourself from other thoughts, emotions, and everyday affairs. If something goes wrong, for example, a person is distracted from the process, they start counting again.

About transsexualism

Transsexualism is a phenomenon that involves a person’s rejection of his sex assigned to him at birth and the desire to become a person with opposite sex characteristics. To put it simply, a man wants to become a woman, and a woman wants to become a man.

Let's first understand the concepts of sex and gender.

Sex is a system of reproductive characteristics of an organism with which a person is born.

Gender is the social role of a person. This concept includes the way a person behaves, his activities, professional skills, manner of dressing, etc. Such ideas are stereotypical and are passed on from generation to generation.

With transsexualism, there is a rejection of one's biological sex, as well as a change in gender behavior to the diametrically opposite one.

In ICD-10, transsexualism or, as it is also called, transgenderism, is listed as a sexual health condition and is not a mental disorder.

If you think that becoming transgender is easy and simple and that anyone can do it, then you are mistaken. People become transsexuals not as a result of another whim, not “for fun.” These are atypical changes in the body that are contrary to a given gender. Such transformation is a long process that begins in childhood.

The causes of this condition are not known for certain. But there are several hypotheses regarding its occurrence. The most plausible ones are changes in brain structures and hormonal imbalances.

In a study of transsexual men and women, it was found that certain areas of their brains developed in accordance with those of the other sex.

As for hormones, there is a decrease in androgens in men and an increase in their norm in women. Moreover, presumably, such violations occur in utero, and therefore rejection of one’s body occurs from early childhood.

Genomic mutations also cause gender identity problems. An incorrect chromosome set is observed, for example, XXY instead of XY in men. This cause is already a disease and is called Klinefelter syndrome.

With the provoking factors listed above, a violation of the development of sexual characteristics occurs, since the problem is physiological in nature.

A psychological impetus can be the incorrect upbringing of a child or the lack of an adequate model of gender separation, which is present in some countries. At the same time, the physical development of the child fully corresponds to his gender.

From educational measures it is known:

  • cold attitude of parents;
  • aggression or permissiveness;
  • no attempt to explain to the child the differences between a boy’s activities and a girl’s activities;
  • encouragement of games that are not typical for a given gender.

Physical or sexual abuse experienced in childhood can disrupt a person's self-image.

The above theory has a rather shaky position. Such a case is known. A boy from Canada, David Ramer, as a baby, underwent surgery, which resulted in damage to his genitals. His parents turned to a psychologist for advice on the further education of the boy. And he advised them to raise the baby like a girl.

No matter how hard his father and mother tried to instill girlish habits in David, he increasingly showed traits typical of a boy. When his parents were more insistent, he became depressed. Subsequently, the guy refused the vaginoplasty prescribed for him and began hormone therapy with male medications. Married and took 3 adopted children. Although the outcome of his life was unfavorable - he committed suicide at the age of 38.

Another reason why a person can become transgender is a mental disorder. Very often it becomes paranoid schizophrenia. With this type, productive symptoms are most developed, in particular delirium. After all, the idea of gender reassignment for this disease is nothing more than nonsense.

Monotonous movements

Monotonous movements will help you get into the desired state. Hypnotists often use this method when asking people to focus their gaze on a shiny pendulum. Any repetitive movements of the same type contribute to a change in consciousness, this is especially effective for people who are emotionally malleable and have well-developed sensory systems.

To relax and distance yourself from extraneous influences, you can, for example, look at a flashing dot on the screen for a long time. Interestingly, people often fall into a special state of mind using this method on their own. Surely many have noticed that sometimes they look at a white television screen for a long time, although the programs are no longer broadcast. This happens when a person tries to make an important decision, or in case of severe stress.

To force the brain to generate alpha waves, you can use motion sickness. To do this, you need to rock the person, simulating motion sickness on a train. It is no less convenient to swing on your own in a sitting position. Typically, relaxation and immersion in semi-sleep occurs in 10-15 minutes, without any other preliminary preparation, which will make it easy for a beginner to enter a trance.

Technique "Gradual relaxation"

First circle of relaxation

While lying on your back, mentally walk through all parts of your body, trying to relax them to a state where physical sensations are barely noticeable (the ideal option is to be completely absent). This won't happen right away. Therefore, you need to constantly practice to learn how to relax deeply.

First, walk your mind's eye over your body, imagining that it is relaxing. Start with your feet. Mentally tell yourself:

My right leg relaxes, relaxes, relaxes... this at least three times, imagining - imagining the right leg relaxing.

Then do the same with your left leg. Repeating mentally to herself that she is relaxing.

Then turn your attention to your left hand. Repeat to yourself: my left hand relaxes, relaxes, relaxes...

Next, turn your attention to your right hand and repeat the suggestion.

Then we turn our attention to the stomach. Repeat mentally: my stomach relaxes, relaxes, relaxes...

Then move on to the chest. Use the same formula to relax her.

After that the face, then the whole head.

Particular emphasis should be placed on the most tense part of the body. Usually this is the face, this is where (especially in the lower jaw) the greatest tension occurs.

Second circle of relaxation

Start relaxing again. Only this time repeat mentally: My legs relax, relax, relax... (on the second circle we relax two legs at once)

Then we relax both hands at once.

After this, the entire body (immediately the stomach and chest).

At the end is the head (along with the face).

Third circle of relaxation

It is the simplest and most effective. We relax our whole body at once.

Mentally repeat to yourself: my body is relaxing, relaxing, relaxing...

Connect your breathing to the technique. As you exhale, visualize—imagine your body relaxing more and more. Here the number of repetitions needs to be increased, the main thing is that you feel that you are relaxing. (Your body dissolves and remains somewhere behind).

Particular emphasis in the gradual relaxation technique should be placed on the third circle.

The main thing is not to overdo it. If you try too hard to relax, you may not get the desired results. (Your brain will focus all its attention on the body and because of this it will be difficult to achieve a state of complete relaxation).

When you feel that your body is no longer relaxing, forget about it. Bring your attention to your third eye (just look between your eyebrows with your eyes closed).

When you feel that your thoughts have begun to wander and you are being carried away from practice, return again to gradual relaxation. Walk over your entire body again, looking for tense spots. Using your imagination (as you exhale), relax them (imagining - imagining them relaxing). Then again turn your attention between the eyebrows.

If during the practice you feel that the energy has gone to the third eye (a feeling of immersion in infinite space will begin to appear), then forget about relaxation and focus on immersion in infinity.

On the third circle, you are no longer just relaxing, you are meditating. Learn more about the technique here (Out-of-body experience through meditation).

When you learn to relax well, you will no longer need the whole gradual relaxation method. It will be enough to do only the third round of relaxation. Just lie down, mentally (with imagination - idea) relax as you exhale and wait for infinite space to begin to appear. With experience, this usually happens within a minute or two.

No special conditions needed

Having mastered the process using auxiliary means, you need to learn how to change consciousness in uncomfortable conditions. After all, the modern pace of life will not allow you to enter the alpha state every day with musical accompaniment or rocking on a chair.

Knowing how to enter the alpha state in noisy and crowded places can help you calm down before an important meeting, make the best decisions, and reduce stress levels. The self-hypnosis technique in this case is based on the fact that the body and brain have already remembered the state of half-asleep, and consists of simply counting from 20 to 1, with your eyes closed.

Transsexual transition

There are several ways to become a transgender woman or man and announce your identity to the world:

  • coming out and social adaptation;
  • hormone therapy;
  • surgical intervention.

Coming out is an attempt by a transgender person to announce a new image to their environment, especially to close people. This is a very important stage for establishing your new “I”. Many people encounter misunderstandings, insults, and aggression from relatives.

As for social adaptation, a person changes his role in society to the opposite. He changes his name, talks about himself in a different way, begins to dress according to the new image, and changes his occupation. That is, he behaves completely like the other sex.

Some experts express the opinion that social transition should not require special efforts for such people: it is carried out intuitively. Otherwise, this person is not a “true” transsexual. But this is just one assumption.

Some reincarnated individuals, afraid of facing rejection of themselves by other people and their inappropriate behavior, seek to completely change their environment and move to another city or country.

Additional funds

There is an additional exercise that accompanies most effective trance techniques. To get rid of muscle tension, all muscle groups alternately tense and then relax. The exercise usually begins with the arms, then strains and relaxes the neck, torso, and lower limbs, repeating the actions several times.

A special breathing procedure will also help, which has allowed many to learn to enter a trance quickly. First, they fix their attention on their breathing, trying to make it as even and calm as possible. Then they take a sharp breath and hold their breath for 5 seconds. Then they restore breathing again and repeat holding their breath 2-3 times.

Availability and capabilities of the technique

You can enter the alpha state with the help of hypnosis, or on your own.
Of course, if you involve a good psychologist or simply an experienced person in the process, learning goes faster. True, sometimes a person does not have the time or finances to hire a specialist. Considering that the alpha state or half-sleep is natural for the body, you can not put off learning until better times, and learn to use mental reserves on your own. The alpha state allows you to get rid of everything that interferes with your life. In half sleep, a person perceives any suggestions, therefore, being in this state, you can get rid of complexes, fears, and bad habits.

An independent change in the level of consciousness allows you to analyze the true problems of personality development: find out why phobias formed; see the falsity of some beliefs; understand what is truly necessary for happiness.

Hormone therapy

Hormone therapy is carried out according to 2 types of transformation:

  • men to women, male to female (MtF);
  • women to man, female to male (FtM).

The formation of a transsexual woman occurs by taking several types of hormones:

  • antiandrogens - inhibit the production of male sex hormones, in particular testosterone;
  • female sex hormones - estrogens and gastrogens.

There are forms of estrogens that are identical to natural hormones, and chemical analogues. The latter have a more pronounced effect than natural ones, but do not exhibit all the necessary properties. Therefore, it is rational to use both groups of drugs in combination.

Gastrogens are needed for the growth of mammary glands, as well as to eliminate the consequences of a lack of testosterone: depression, decreased performance, dry skin.

The ideal option is to start hormone replacement therapy before puberty. Then the body will develop more harmoniously and less problematically according to the new sex.

Under the influence of female sex hormones, a man's hairline decreases and the mammary glands begin to grow. He loses muscle mass, and fat is distributed in places typical for a woman. The structure of the skin changes: it becomes softer, more delicate, and sensitive. Body odor changes and sexual activity fades.

FtM - the transition is carried out through the introduction of the male hormone - testosterone. It is also present in the female body, but in negligible quantities. Therefore, it is necessary to increase it artificially.

Testosterone will increase libido and ensure the development of male characteristics: deepening of the voice, thick hair, stubble, and the Adam's apple will become more pronounced. During such therapy, the clitoris becomes enlarged, the likelihood of weight gain appears, and menstruation disappears.

Therapy with hormonal drugs requires strictly maintained doses and does not tolerate self-medication, as it threatens with serious complications. The first changes occur differently for each person. Some take 2 weeks, others take 3 months. Obvious transformation occurs within a year, and to consolidate the results it will take 3 years of continuous hormone therapy.
